A MESSAGE FROM JEFF TO FELLOW INDIE CREATIVES

If you’ve already invested in music videos and are exploring Dolby Atmos or other immersive audio formats, here’s something worth knowing!

There are now ways to bring existing video projects into the immersive world and share them on YouTube in supported formats. That means new opportunities for your music, your videos, and your audiences without necessarily starting from scratch.

I’ve put together a growing Eclipsa Audio playlist featuring projects I’ve mixed and produced through Palette Music • Studio • Productions. It’s a way to demonstrate what’s possible while giving these wonderful artists another opportunity to share their music with listeners.

I’m also honored to be among the engineers selected to work with Immersive Master Pro as this technology opens new possibilities for immersive music distribution. It’s especially rewarding to be part of a development that can bring new life and new audiences to music we’ve already created.

For independent creators, this is particularly exciting. So much of what we produce represents years of creative work, financial investment, and personal commitment. New technology doesn’t necessarily mean replacing any of it. Sometimes it gives us another way to present what we’ve already created.

And for the listening public, it means another opportunity to discover immersive music through a platform they already know.

This is only the beginning, but I think it’s a moment worth recognizing.

HOW THIS NEW DOOR IS OPENING

What makes this particularly meaningful is how the technology is beginning to meet the creative work that’s already out there.

Eclipsa Audio is opening another path for music creators to bring immersive sound to listeners through YouTube, one of the world’s most accessible video platforms.

The recordings featured in our growing playlist began as Dolby Atmos immersive mixes. Working with Immersive Master Pro, we’ve been able to author and convert those masters into Eclipsa Audio presentations, creating another opportunity for audiences to experience these productions.

For listeners with compatible multichannel playback systems and supported software, Eclipsa Audio can deliver an immersive surround experience. For everyone else, the music remains accessible through conventional stereo playback. No special music subscription is required to explore the playlist.

What makes this development important isn’t simply another technical format. It’s the opportunity to connect the work of musicians, producers, engineers, and filmmakers with audiences through a familiar platform, while continuing to explore what immersive sound can offer.

BEHIND THE SOUND

I’m proud to have served as the immersive producer and Dolby Atmos mixing engineer for these recordings through Palette Music • Studio • Productions.

Special thanks to Nathaniel Reichman of Immersive Master Pro (IMP) for the technology and expertise that make the conversion of our Dolby Atmos masters to Eclipsa Audio possible. His work is helping open another door for music creators and listeners, and I’m grateful to be part of these early experiences.

MEET OUR FIRST WAVE OF ECLIPSA ARTISTS

A special thank-you to these wonderful artists whose music is helping us explore this new opportunity:

  • Jeff Silverman – The World Is Better Dreaming, featuring Chris Taylor
  • Debra Lyn – A Cold Wind Blows
  • Dulcie Taylor – Easy for You, featuring Michael Landau
  • Markey Blue – Send Me Love
  • Doug James – Cats in the Cradle
  • Sarah Fierek – Mustang
  • Debra Lyn – The Wexford Carol (Tom Billy’s Jig)

Each artist brings a different musical voice, a different story, and a different world to explore. These are not recordings created simply to demonstrate a technology. They are musical works that now have another way to be heard and experienced.

And this is only the beginning. More artists, more music, and more immersive experiences are on the way.

OCTOBER 9, 2026: A MOMENT WORTH REMEMBERING

On October 9, 2026, Eclipsa Audio was part of an immersive audio showcase at Engine Room Audio in New York City, alongside the AES New York convention. Selections from our growing playlist were included in the showcase, connecting the creative work of our artists with the continuing development of immersive audio technology.

For those of us making music, this is about much more than showing off new technology. Music that once needed special equipment or a particular way of being shared is finding new paths to listeners. And that’s exciting, whether you’re creating the music or hearing it for the first time.

It doesn’t mean everyone suddenly has an immersive sound system, or that Dolby Atmos and other established formats are going away. It simply means more doors are opening, for artists and audiences alike.

ANOTHER TOMORROW FOR OUR MUSIC

We can already see immersive music finding its way into more parts of everyday life, from Dolby Atmos and Eclipsa Audio to services such as Apple Music and YouTube, and even the sound systems being built into automobiles. I want to keep exploring where these developments can take our music, and how they can help more people experience it.

But what excites me most is seeing new possibilities emerge for music that already has a life, a history, and a connection to the people who created it.

To all the artists, musicians, engineers, producers, and collaborators who helped bring these recordings to life, thank you. You are pioneers in your own right!

And to everyone discovering this music for the first time, welcome. You are pioneers as well!

The future doesn’t always mean starting over. Sometimes it means discovering what else your existing work can become.
