NASHVILLE, Tenn. — July 29, 2026 — Veteran producer, songwriter, recording engineer, and author Jeff Silverman is opening his personal archives with VAULT II – The Branches Series, an expansive new project built around a richly illustrated memoir, a musical companion album, and a growing collection of interconnected stories, films, recordings, and collaborations.

The first musical doorway into the project is “The World Is Better Dreaming,” featuring vocalist Chris Taylor and co-written by Silverman and Anthony Snape. Now available on major digital streaming platforms, the single will receive a special dedication on July 31, marking the anniversary of the celebration of life of Silverman’s mother, Barbara L. Silverman.
Produced in both Dolby Atmos and traditional stereo, “The World Is Better Dreaming” reflects the hopeful spirit woven throughout the larger project. Taylor’s heartfelt performance brings new life to a song Silverman originally wrote years ago but had never formally released.

Australian-born songwriter Anthony Snape has toured internationally with acclaimed guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, while vocalist Chris Taylor recently opened for Cheap Trick in front of more than 14,000 fans.

At the center of VAULT II – The Branches Series is Silverman’s 196-page, full-color memoir. Rather than simply recounting a career in music, the book invites readers inside the creative process behind the songs. Silverman shares the inspirations, collaborations, recording sessions, personal relationships, unexpected turns, and defining moments that shaped a lifetime of work.

“This was never meant to be only a book or only an album,” Silverman says. “The stories give the songs another life, and the songs let people step inside the stories. VAULT II is the first major branch of The Branches Series, with more songs, albums, books, films, and collaborations still to grow. There’s plenty of life left in this tree before we need to plant VAULT III.”

VAULT II also marks a new chapter following From The Vault: A Collection of Works by Rick Springfield and Jeff Silverman, released by Frontiers Records in 2010. That earlier collection was never released in North America and is no longer in publication. More than fifteen years later, VAULT II expands the original idea far beyond a traditional archival release.

Silverman’s career has spanned nearly five decades as a producer, recording engineer, mixer, songwriter, and musician. With VAULT II, he now adds author to that list. His work includes a long creative history with Rick Springfield, beginning when Silverman joined Springfield’s band in 1976 and continuing through numerous recordings and collaborations. Today, he produces stereo and immersive Dolby Atmos projects through Palette Music • Studio • Productions near Nashville, Tennessee.
